Is JASA above the law?

For Your Well Being I Commend You Into to the Hands of Felons. Now Supreme Court Justice Thomas never made this statement, however this was precisely the consequence of the judge appointing the Jewish Association for Services to the Aged, JASA, as guardian for a Queens man.

May I introduce you to Sandra Allen-Simms and Lisa Bednarz a former social worker at JASA? The former, at the time of this article, is still employed at JASA as the Supervisor of Social Workers and the latter was a social worker with a conscience. Ms. Bednarz commented that her client was not mentally ill and that guardianship was not required. The comment likely precipitated Bednarz departure from JASA.

Sandra Allen-Simms is the Supervisor of Social Workers is unlicensed and unregistered as a social worker in New York State. That's a felony according to the New York State Education Department's web site. But that does not slow her down. She pushes on full speed ahead unlicensed and supported by the likes of Cecille Hershkovitz and JASA president and super attorney David Warren. For the moment they seem to be above the law and out of range of law enforcement.

So now charges are backing up like water behind a dam. Complaints have been filed with the NYS Office of the Attorney General, the NYS Education Department where three files have been opened and now the Guardian and court officials have been brought to the attention of the NYS Commission for Judicial Conduct.

The big question is, "When will the dam break?"
